I live in Arizona, and I enjoy the outdoors, nature, going to the Lake, hiking through the forest, swimming in rivers, anything water related, I am in.I was born and raised in Flagstaff, AZ which is 7600 ft and a Ski Resort/college town. I became an adult in Kansas City, Missouri. I lived there from 16-22 and it will always hold a spot in my heart.
I literally moved back to Arizona as an adult, because I want my kids to enjoy the Lake, swimming in rivers and tromping through the woods.
I am a JEEP MOM and I absolutely love having a 4×4 Truck. I love that I never feel intimidated to bring my kids with me on new adventures!
I now live in Payson, Arizona we are about 5000 ft. It snows a few times a year here, but nothing crazy and it still gets hot enough to want to swim. We live in Tonto national forest, It is the 2nd largest national forest in the United states and we absolutely take advantage of all the forest service land.
My parents are lucky enough to own 2.11 acres next to the national forest, The absolute best neighbors you can have.
- My youngest daughter has Childhood Apraxia of Speech and had a hard start at talking. Most people still can not understand her…lucky for us, we can now. 😅😘😍 She has this Amazing personality, that we just get to know 1st.
- She also has Sensory processing disorder (SPD) So her senses are a little different. We have connected some of the dots for her, and now she understands HOT and COLD or CUT, you can imagine the mess of not automatically knowing some of these. A diagnosis for your child isn’t always easily accepted. It was hard on my family, it still is.
I have had to learn SELF CARE! And I write about it. I try to be encouraging to all other women and learn each day.
We have a Polaris RzR and absolutely love to ride! There are thousands of national forest service trails right from our house. We can ride all year long here.
Please do not come to Phoenix in July and judge Arizona by that, there is absolutely STUNNING and beautiful parts of this state that are absolutely worth exploring.
My Vision : To find my tribe
Honestly ladies Momming is hard, like seriously hard work. I know your tired, I know you try your best every day. We as women need to find our tribes. The women we meet throughout our lives who warm our souls.
Some of them I loved right away, some I judged right away, but these women have helped me grow and learn more about myself than I ever thought possible.
I love the nights that turn into mornings and the friends that become family!
They are my absolute favorite stories. I welcome you to come on in and enjoy.
Brad and I met in 2004 when I was 22 years old, he was 25 with a 3 year old daughter and was getting divorced. Timing is kinda crazy, there is not a different time in either of our lives that would have worked out for us, As well as it did then.
Even though our start was a little messy, we were exactly what we each needed at exactly the right time.I will forever be grateful for our lives crossing paths as they did. We got married a few years later in 2008 then had Devin in July of 2010. We all blended really well. I joked with my husband that he is lucky I didn’t know how easy babies were. We might have 10!!
Peyton was born in March of 2014 and even from the pregnancy, Things were harder for us. Our story changes here…….. Welcome to our Journey!

37 years old. Native Arizonan, Love the outdoors, nature, water, The mountains and the weather here is AMAZING! I love with my whole heart, and spit nails when I am hurt, I have a potty mouth and am a bit of a rebel. 🤫🤪😋😏
My right hand man, by far the brains and brawn around here. He completes my ideas better than anyone. We are a team. In this last year I have came to the conclusion that there will never be another person in this life that will share the same dreams or care for my dreams for me, my family, my future and my kids….more than this man. I am grateful for the time we’ve had together.

Even though I am not her Mom, She will forever be my KID! She is now grown and off to college. I appreciate her effort, more than she knows. She is off to college now, and is busy. I’m grateful she is still here Christmas morning to open presents with us. I love you kid!
Devin Gage Barnes
My 1st baby
He made me a Mom and I will forever be grateful for the love I found in him. I honestly had NO idea what unconditional love really meant. Motherly instinct is so absolutely beautiful. It’s probably the most MAGICAL thing that has ever actually happened to me. I wish the world for him, however absolutely do not want to raise a lazy kid. So we are learning the balance of him doing things for himself. Just because I love to take care of him, doesn’t mean it is always the best thing for him.
Peyton JayLyn Barnes
My forever baby
She is the colorful rainbow of our family. She controls my life in a way that NO ONE ever has, EVER. She has taught me that it is my job to teach her the calm, not add to the chaos. This has been a hard lesson to learn, especially because I like to be in charge. Things got easier in our life when I decided to try to help calm her, not try to control her. I feel like I am learning to understand her as a person, not just my baby. I am hoping that will only help our relationship.
