There is definitely something to be said about Dirt road therapy.

We live in Arizona, and in one of the largest National forest in the US. There are actually 1200 miles of trails outside of our town, accessible from our front door. We love to ride, in the sun, wind, even the dust feels nice in March, after a little cabin fever.

Arizona weather is diverse to say the least. I live in the high desert at 5200ft.

We can ride up here most of the year, and when it is too hot to ride, We swim. When it is too cold to ride, we load up and ride in Phoenix. There is a Lake system that starts 35miles from us. Lake Roosevelt is the start, Apache Lake in next, Canyon Lake then Lake Saguaro. The ride from the top down in the Apache trail, definitely a great ride.

There has not been a better family investment, that we literally ALL enjoy. There is something about the sun and sand, that refresh my soul.

My kids get out, in the fresh air, and they use their imaginations! We have a group of side by side that ride together. Can Am’s, RzR’s even a few Artic Cats. Our kids all play, we have water spots that we stop at and places to have lunch. It is a great, No cell phone kinda day we all need sometimes.

What is your families favorite activities? What do you all agree on? Camping? The lake? Leave a comment, let me know.
